Music-making for everyone

Kathryn Bradley is a choral director, singer and conductor based in Manchester, with a wide range of communication and leadership skills and a passion for high-quality, accessible music-making.

She holds a BMus (Hons) from the University of Manchester, where she studied voice under Andrew Heggie and conducting under Robert Guy. Her work spans cathedral music, community choirs, schools singing programmes and outreach, including weekly choir workshops in a women's prison with Sing Inside.

Kathryn holds ABRSM qualifications in singing, piano and viola, the ABRSM Choral Leadership award (Level 3), and is a member of the Association of British Choral Directors.

2025 – Present

Head of Schools Singing Programme

Leading a Diocese-wide programme of whole-class singing across state primary and secondary schools, and managing a team of choral directors.

Bollington Singers

2025 – Present

Musical Director

Conducting all rehearsals and concerts, and programming all repertoire. Collaborations on exciting projects including “Voices of the Peaks”, a premiere performed at the Buxton International Festival.

Sing Inside

2025 – Present

Workshop Leader

Programming and leading weekly choir rehearsals in a women's prison, with rehearsals recorded for CD release. Music-making where it matters most.

Salford Cathedral

2022 – 2026

Director, Senior Girls' Choir

Directing the Senior Girls' Choir in all rehearsals, masses and concerts. Previous performances include Elgar's “Dream of Gerontius” and Mahler's “Symphony No. 3”.

  • Gabrieli Roar New Leader: Baroque Masters tour and UK concerts, now a freelance workshop leader for Gabrieli
  • Co-conductor of “Songs of the Earth” at the Lowry Theatre (2025)
